ISTEunplugged.com.
San Diego Convention Center

ISTE Unplugged is a series of independent events that take place in, around, and with the support of the annualISTE (International Society for Technology in Education) conference, the "world's premier educational technology event" which attracts nearly 20,000 people. And for the sixth year hundreds of educators interested in social media, technology, teaching, and learning will build and participate in "unplugged"-style activities as a part of their ISTE experience. And you are invited!

All of the following events are free, so just come join us (you do need to be registered for ISTE for all activities except SocialEdCon and the after-party, which are open to anyone)! If you aren't attending ISTE, check out our ISTE LIVE! streamed sessions, which available to watch for free either live or recorded later. HUGE thanks to ISTE for making this all possible!

SOCIALEDCON - Saturday, June 23rd: SocialEdCon (formerly EduBloggerCon) is the flagship event of ISTE Unplugged and draws 200 - 300 participants from around the world. This is our SIXTH year--wow! An all-day actual "unconference" on teaching and learning in the Web 2.0 world, we start by building a session schedule together and then spend the rest of the day in engaged conversations around amazing topics. More information and sign-up page.

SOCIALEDCON AFTER-PARTY! - Saturday, June 23rd Evening: Brand new event this year, we're having a SocialEdCon "After Party" from 7 - 9pm at the Marriott, and it's going to be a BLAST. Thanks to StudyBlue we'll be doing a mobile apps sharing theme to start, and then thanks to Startup Weekend Education we'll move into educators giving 1-minute "pitch" ideas for ed tech startups ideas and some prizes. Don't miss this! More Information and signup page.

GLOBAL EDUCATION SUMMIT - Sunday, June 24th Afternoon: Another first-time event, the Global Ed Summit is a 3-hour mini-conference organized by Lucy Gray for those interested in globally-connecting students and teachers, and a physical followup to the hugely popular online Global Education Conference.  More Information.

THE BLOGGERS' CAFE - Monday, June 25 - Wednesday, June 27th: Also in it's SIXTH year now, the Bloggers' Cafe is an informal, couch-chairs-floor gathering area in the conference center for bloggers, social media mavens, and anyone else who wants to find and connect with others. A beehive of constant activity and conversation, the Bloggers' Cafe makes it hard to go do anything else once you discover it. More Information.

ISTE LIVE - Monday, June 25 - Wednesday, June 27th: Slightly re-branded for this year, ISTE Live is a three-day alternate presentation venue inside the conference where anyone can sign up to present on a topic that might not have been current when proposals for the conference were due, or maybe even a topic that didn't get accepted to the main conference! These sessions are also streamed live to those not able to physically attend ISTE. To Sign Up, to Watch, or for More Information.

THANKS TO OUR 2012 SPONSORS! (There's still time to add yourself to this list! :)
